Humanity is not my story, it is Ours.

One of the biggest gifts the water offers is the space it creates. This space is unique in it’s ability to manifest connection. Connection with our self, nature and each other. How exactly this happens continues to elude me in words. It is more of a feeling. Awe and wonderment have a role to play - that we can witness these together. It also unites in our vulnerability, exposed as we immerse in a body foreign to the one we (think) we command on land.

This always has me thinking about all the invisible things that unite us, the things we ALL experience but do not acknowledge or talk about as often as we should; despite all that divide us.

Water brings us together

Fear does not belong to me, it lives in all of us.

Sadness, weighs my heart , and yours too.

Loneliness is not mine to own, we share it.

Rage courses in my veins, and your heart too.

Sorrow fills my core, and explodes out of yours.

Regret is in my wake, and your footsteps too.

Joy in my eye, beams in yours too.

Wonderment is in my gaze, and lives in yours too.

Curiosity animated in me, is a spirit in you.

Hope that keeps me going, is in your stride.

Connection a way of being , is a yearning in you.

Love, the love that brings me back home, is in your heart too.

Escape from suffering are the bricks we all lay down in our path.

Serenity on the other side of the veil….. we will also both embrace.

Humanity is not my story, it is ours.
